Since we have been to Halifax in the past, we decided to book an all day tour to the Bay of Fundy thru Ryan with Greater Earth Expeditions. I was able to find other people on our roll call so I was able to fill the van (13 people)
Following is a description of the tour from the web site..
"Down by the Bay"
Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia - Winery, Small Town History and Heritage Tour.
Are you looking for a true Nova Scotia experience? Well this is just the tour for you. We venture to the Annapolis Valley region, where we will explore the coast of the world famous Bay of Fundy. Here we have the chance to see the world's highest tides, flocks of seabirds and rugged sea cliffs. If the tides play in our favor we will have the chance to walk on the ocean floor in search of precious rocks, sea shells and lost pirate treasure. We then end the day with a visit to the Gaspereau Winery for a taste of some of Nova Scotia's finest wines, YUM.
Tour Highlights:
Valley Look-off
Gaspereau Winery
Blomidon Provincial Park
Evangeline Beach

The day was sunny and very comfortable temperature wise. Ryan was great and conducted a wonderful tour. His van was a little crowded for 13 people but no one complained. We had a good group!
First stop was at the Citadel which provided a panoramic view of Halifax.
Next stop was at Evangeline Beach....Bay of Fundy(Minas Basin) where we were able to walk on the sea floor at low tide.
At high tide, the water will be almost up to the top of the rocks behind Charlie.
Annapolis Valley Lookout
Bloomidon Provincial Park
Great picnic lunch....Ryan is a good cook!
Fishing boats waiting for the tide to come in
Baxter's Harbor tide coming in peninsula completely disappeared in the short time we were there.
Ryan put wood in water.....almost completely covered in about 5 minutes.
Last stop was at the Gaspereau Winery. Of course, we had to buy a bottle....
Beautiful day, great tour!!!!!
